Private Contact is the Mac OS X program to store your contacts secure and encrypted.
Contacts are managed in a easy and very intuitive way.
When Private Contact saves data on disk, all data are always saved as encrypted using the password you specify one time only for each Private Contact's document.
Reopening the document requires the password. The password is used to save encrypted all your data inside the document, there is no way to read your data without your password even opening the files using other software. Private Contact is hacker-proof.

Using Private Contact by the user do not requires a long learning period bacause it is based on a standard document window with a very Mac like layout. On the left part of the windows there is the list of all the contact inside the document, on the right part are showed all the details of the selected contact.
Every contact can be assigned to a category. Every document has a category list. For privacy purpouse when saved on disk also the category list inside a document is encrypted.
At a window is associated a document on disk and you can open as many document as you like creating different kind of contact files.

Contacts can be sorted clicking in the head of the columns. Contacts can be filteerd using the search box in the toolbar and the category popup.

Saving and opening operations are very fast, Private Contacts can save encrypted and and decryoting your document in almost no time.

You can customize the field of the contacts. In that way the software can store the data you really need, you are not locked to a 'closed form'. Also the custom label you insert are saved on disk encrypted to save your privacy.

Private Contact is a some cases really a must have tool because contacts data can contain really reserved informations and it's often possible that unwanted people can access this informations. If contacts are stored in a flat file such as in the Apple Address Book, authorized or unauthorized people can access your computer and can read your data. In case of a laptop it can be easly stolen and all your data will be available to the person which will put his hands on your machine.
Having your data stored inside a Private Contact file solves all this problems. No one can read the data inside your Private Contact files without the password you used to protect the document.
Some country or state or company has strict requirements regarding privacy and personal data, Private Contact solve these requirements and with a strong encryption algorithm allows data access only to authorized people.

Private Contact uses blowfish algorithms to encrypt data inside the document, it is a serious encryption tool using a very strong algorithm encapsulated using the power and semplicity of the Macintosh interface and the development system based on Cocoa and Objective-C to provide you a native and genuine Mac OS X experience. We used for this software all the experience we made realizing the other encryption software we made for Mac OS X.
